Sometimes we may lose our way on the winding road life sets forth. She holds faith that every individual can embrace their ability to change, grow & recover. Perhaps it may not be easy to admit we might benefit from the support of another to help us regain strength. Someone to listen, provide feedback, validation, insight & education can help to regain control & improve lives. We simply may be seeking another to listen to where we are at in our lives, without judgment, biases & preconceived notions. Intending to share intricate details of our lives is a display of bravery, therefore, choosing a therapist that you feel comfortable with is imperative to begin the process of hope and positive change.
Stephanie’s expertise lies in working with adults, adolescents, couples, families and group sessions. She is seasoned in helping those experiencing adjustments to change, parenting stress, trauma, grief, anxiety, panic, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, anger management, medical diagnoses, PTSD, bullying, self-esteem/efficacy, eating disorders, body image, personality disorders, hoarding, relationship/marital stressors, work stressors, boundary setting, guilt, asserting oneself, loss of purpose and chronic co-occurring medical challenges that are impacting daily coping.
Utilizing an eclectic approach, Stephanie is person-centered, incorporating evidenced-based practices such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational interviewing, Supportive and Solution-focused therapy.
Stephanie is the owner and founder of Healing in Motion Counseling, LLC in an effort to develop a practice that provides traditional in office psychotherapy services, while also offering the option for therapy outside of the office setting. Traditional in office therapy is the focus, and both traditional as well as extended services can be accommodated.
Should you have an interest to expand and explore your toolbox of coping skills, she is equipped to offer sessions incorporating movement such as exercise, exposure, mindfulness, walking, running, art, writing and other expressive healing therapies. What better way to engage in therapy than to have someone in your corner to listen, provide skills and also extend a hand while saying, “Let’s go Heal in Motion…” ?!
Although the ability to achieve connectedness with someone outside your personal network may be difficult, the growth of a therapeutic, trusting alliance between therapist and patient is unique and may be the healing bridge you’ve searched to cross. Stephanie is aware of these hesitations and feels honored to join in your journey. She will work towards emphasizing sensitivity towards the effort & courage taken to seek treatment and will work to develop a relationship recognizing the strengths, resiliency & uniqueness of each individual.
We are in charge of our happiness despite our past and have the power to shape our future. She will lead you to believe that about yourself. That is her one goal for all of those who choose to interview her to become their therapist and trusted confidant along this journey of life. If this sounds like a good fit, she looks forward to meeting with you.
